The last four months have been hard. Gut-wrenching, chest-crushing hard. Maybe I'll share more, maybe I won't (for now, it is my own sacred experience). But, the beautiful thing is, on the other side of all of that, is knowing that I created it, all of it, and I am owning every shard of it. And that, the ownership of my role as Creator of my experience (good, bad, and everything in between) feels really fucking good. Really, really good. We spend every second of everyday creating our singular experience. And at anytime, we have the power to un-do or re-do any of it. How awesome is that?! How could we not use that to our advantage?
So, I've decided, along with the support and participation of my best friend, to "let it be easy". And not just building a business that I love and that supports me and a life I want to be living, but all of it. My relationships, my approach to writing, to doing yoga more often than not, to being flexible with my diet, to being flexible with myself, to having more of what I want and less of what I don't. I am going to let it be easy. Because it can be. And it is designed to be.
The ideas of being busy, or not having enough money, or having too much work, or being too important, or not smart enough, or any of the other countless excuses we make as to why we don't do what we want to do, or have what we want to have, are all created by us. We think them up, and we give them power. And all it takes it saying, "nope, that's not real" or "I'm not buying into that anymore" to change.
I spend much of my time coaching clients speaking to this idea and the many ways it shows up in our lives. It is amazing how omnipresent it is. We are led to believe everything, from being healthy to being wealthy to being happy, and to being loved, have to take work, and that those things are only reserved for the lucky or the talented or for people with good genes.
Well guess what?
That is bullshit.
I don't believed that we evolved into the crazy people we are if that were the case. Being healthy, wealthy, happy, and loved aren't things to struggle to achieve. They are our divine rights. They are our natural states of being. They are the reasons we exist. They are why we have feelings, why we experience emotions, and why we have cravings. They are why we wake up in the morning and why we want to share.
“Pain is a spiritual wake-up call showing you that there are oceans you have not yet explored. Step beyond the world you know. Reach for heights that you never thought possible. Go to places you have deemed off limits. This is the time to take off the shell of your past and step into the rich possibilities of your future. God does not give us dreams that we cannot fulfill. If you want to do something great with your life-whether it's to fall madly in love, become a teacher, be a great parent- if you aspire to do something beyond what you are doing now, this is the time to begin. Trust yourself.”

So I encourage you to give yourself permission. Know that you are enough, that you are worth it, and that you deserve it.
Let it be easy.
Notice when you get in your own way. Notice the language you use and the stories you tell yourself. Recognize how you are in charge and in control of your life. You are not a "victim of circumstance", you are not what "happens to you" or a "product of your environment". To that I would say change your environment or shift your perspective (disclaimer: I do recognize there are always exceptions and extreme situations, ie, abuse, etc. where more support and direct action need to be taken). No one else can do this for you. No one else has the wheel. No one else knows what you need or what you are feeling.
Let us let it be easy.
Where is this most true for you?
What excuses/lies/stories do you tell yourself?
How can you remove labels/re-frame your language to be a source of power and not a seat of weakness?
Want more support around embracing your ability to let it be easy?
Tell me.
